The Winter Hiking group went to Concord Climbing & Fitness for the final day of project week. Rock and Ice climbing are their next level of development as mountaineers.

"It’s our last day! In the morning we talked about the essential stuff to bring in your backpack and places to go hiking especially in New Hampshire, which led us to the coolest and most touristy spot, the basin. Mr. Carter drove us up to 45 minutes until we reached the destination and walked to the great spots. We each got a lot of great pictures of our own." - Jaja Chamlongrath
Art of Ceramic Design - Day Five
It was a busy day of glazing in the studio today! People employed a wide variety of glazing techniques, from traditional approaches like dipping, brushing, and pouring to more advanced methods like bubbling, splattering, and sgrafitto. Our work will now go back into the kiln for the glaze firing and be finished in a few days. It has been a great week working with the clay! Everyone has learned a lot about the ceramic process and created some unique and exciting work!

Day 5: Yoga, Meditation, and the Creative Process
We began our final day with Vinyasa Yoga, led by a virtual guest instructor, Becca Gosselin.
Following yoga, we watched part of "Samsara," a visual travelogue film that encapsulates a vast range of imagery from around the world.
We concluded our project by heading to Plymouth to get a takeout lunch from Blended and Thai Smile as a special treat. Thank you to all everyone in our project for a great week!
Day 5 - Who Let the Dogs Out?
We kicked off the last day of Project Week with a Zoom call from Chris MacDonald P'23. Chris is a cyber security state police officer in MA with many years of experience, including covering the Boston Marathon the year of the bombing. Six years ago Chris was also trained as a dog handler to Winnie, the state's only electronics detecting canine. Winnie is an 8-year-old Yellow Lab and she and Chris have worked together on over 350 cases.
The rest of the day was spent taking the dogs on an extra long final walk and making homemade organic dog treats.

"For our project we participated in three different dance classes, tried Spanish food, and hit a piñata. It was very enjoyable and entertaining, and a great way to end project week! We learned a lot about Spanish and Latin American cultures while experiencing many new things as a group!"

Show day!
By the end of the week we saw equal participation from all actors. Lots of support and acceptance was present. The cast ran through the show two times. They later received notes and last minute changes. Many adjustments were made to blocking, music, scene changes and pronunciation. Actors are continuing to work after required hours, including Gus Kush practicing piano and vocals! The directors and cast are feeling very ready and proud of their one-week creation. We hope to see a big crowd and have a smooth run!
