Today we had Matt Gutierrez who is a Syracuse alumni, during his time at Syracuse he covered games for multiple sports and conducted many interviews with students athletes big and small.

Noah Eagle talked to us on zoom after lunch. He is a Clippers broadcaster who is also a Syracuse alumni. He talked about how he got into being a live broadcaster through his father because his father broadcasted when Noah was growing up. He also talked about his schedule and how he prepares for games, along with some of his favorite games that he has called.

Next Taylor Kyle’s who generates the NFLs next gen stats and has a role in sports broadcasting spoke about how he got into his industry from his start at Saint Paul’s school, with a small Twitter account tweeting about patriots games. He spoke about how he moved on to Syracuse and reached out to journalists, broadcasters, stat casters and eventually got his foot in the door and built relationships.

Then in the afternoon we went to the UVM basketball game and they were in the semi finals of their conference tournament. After UVM won, the group got to go down on the court and meet with New Hampton Alum, Evan Guillory.
