The buzz about Project Week is palpable on campus and it’s
only September! While the focus has been on the 8 fantastic off-campus options
that will be offered this March, ideas for on and near-campus projects are also
being generated, with some groups already working through the proposal process.
The level of student involvement in the proposal process is increasing this
year as more students are generating project ideas and actively seeking faculty
members to co-lead their project. You can stay abreast of all project ideas by
checking The Board
on the Project Week Blog
regularly. Students and parents are encouraged to consider all projects, even
if they are just in the proposal stage, before committing to any of the
off-campus projects.
If your child knows they want to participate in an
off-campus project, however, you can secure their position in one of these
projects by submitting a deposit by October 10, 2014. The deposit amount varies
with each project, but all deposits are non-refundable unless the project is
cancelled due to under enrollment. For our domestic trips, the deposit will be
equal to the cost of the airline ticket for that project. For our international
trips, the tour company that we use to handle our logistics sets the deposit
amount. Please see the deposit amounts for all off-campus projects below. The
current project cost is an accurate estimate of what the project will cost
based on an assumed number of participants and current flight/hotel estimates.
Final project costs will be calculated after enrollment ends on October 10, but
projects costs will not increase more than $200 from their current estimate.

will slightly stagger the opening of enrollment over the coming week. The schedule for submitting deposits is as follows:
- Seniors and PGs: Friday, September 19
- Juniors: Monday: September 22
- Sophomores: Wednesday, September 24
- Freshman: Friday, September 26
For all international projects, you may submit deposits

are below:
For all domestic projects, you may submit deposits through
our web site payment portal for no
additional fee if using an electronic check.
Please choose the debit option and enter your child’s project title. You may
also mail a check to New Hampton care of the Business Office. Please indicate
your child’s project on the check. Please contact the Business Office
(603-677-3410) if you have questions on the payment method.
If you have any questions about Project Week, submitting a
deposit, or proposing a project, please visit the Project Week Blog or contact the Director of Experiential Learning (603-677-3504).
