On Wednesday, the group took a road trip to Sedona, AZ to visit Oak Creek Golf Club. The two hour ride to Sedona was a beautiful drive through mountains, canyons, and desert. Upon arrival, the group was met by the superintendent of the course (head maintenance and grounds), and the head golf professional Heather Risk.

Learning from the superintendent of Oak Creek about different types of grass, fertilizers, and the challenges of working grounds at a golf course. |
|
The superintendent explained the wear and tear of golfers on a putting green, and the potential threats of disease to the grass. |

We were able to get a group lesson from golf pro Heather Risk. She played on the LPGA and regularly coaches. She gave us a lot of great pointers! |
In the afternoon, we loaded up the carts and were able to play 18 holes at Oak Creek. It was a ton of fun and some of the holes were unbelievably scenic!
|
Great view from one of the holes! |

This is the signature hole on the course. Unreal Par 3 into the canyons! Great swing by David, he dropped it right on the green. |
We drove back through the darkness and fell right to sleep. It was an amazing day in Sedona.
