Blacksmithing: Day Two in the Forge

"Today the Blacksmithing group returned to the forge for a strenuous day 2. Awaking in the early morning for a piquant continental breakfast before we adventured off to New England School of Metalworks. Our tasks for the day, assemble a grill tool and a bottle opener. The new blacksmiths in training hammered away from 8 until 12, where we were treated with a fantastic pizza lunch. We continued on with our day from 1 to 5. With coal blackened faces, aching arms, and a multitude of burns, the Steel rods had become an assortment of grill tools, bottle openers, and a few slightly substandard metal leaves. With two days remaining, we are excited for the days ahead."

Dereck, founder of The New England School of Metalworks takes us through a demo.

Athletic trainer, blacksmithing, this guy does it all.

Drew vs the anvil.

In case you wondering, that's Case Marino.

The kids report that Lewiston House of Pizza "slaps," some even said it was"straight gas."

But EVERYONE loves AppleBees.

Healthy work environment.

Charlie and Drew melt metal and then melt minds with their creations.
