Creating Music: San Francisco- Day 1
The first day started with pre-departure was spent eating dunks and waiting for the boarding to commence.After the long flight and rental car process we made a quick stop at the hotel and then we were off to an amazing trip to Alcatraz.
We got to experience a full tour of the prison and stories of previous escape attempts, alongside accounts from former prisoners and officers. Towards the end of the Alcatraz trip, we walked through the gardens as the sun set over the Golden Gate Bridge.
During the golden hour we took many photos as individuals and as groups, and took sometime to reflect on the reality of our situation. Instead of sitting in class and learning about history, we were walking in it and getting to bask in a beautiful sunset. We finished our day with an awesome group dinner and some singing.
