New England Through Cuisine Day 2

This morning we gathered together to research Street, a restaurant in Portsmouth NH featuring Street foods from around the world. We got together in groups to pick a menu item to research the culture of the including country of origin and important ingredients. After presenting mini projects on our researched food, we headed to the bus to drive to Portsmouth for lunch. 

We arrived at Street around 11:30. The restaurant had a graffiti street art element to it and was welcomed with a delicious aroma. Some of the food we enjoyed included Bibimbop; a Korean dish with veggies and rice, Pho; Vietnamese soup, and Falafel; a Greek specialty. Nobody left on an empty stomach. 

After we left Street, we drove to downtown Portsmouth for a little walking around to explore the city. We met back together as a group at Kaffee Vonsolln, a German café. We enjoyed some iced coffee including a specialty German coffee made with Gelato and cream. After exploring the town for a bit, we headed back to the bus to go back to NHS.
