Chicago Food, History & Culture: Day One

Day One from Timmy & Yuya:

The trip started at 2:30 am in the morning on Monday. We arrived at the airport 4:00 am, and it took more than an hour of waiting for tickets. So we ended up buying new tickets to Chicago. Everyone was tired but we all tried to keep to positivity vibe going on. Then the plane’s door closed at around 7:15 am. Everyone tried to get some sleep and we arrived in Chicago! We took the train to the city and walked to the hotel to drop our stuff of and headed out to have deep dish pizza - Chicago’s signature. After the delicious pizzas, things started to get better as we go. We went out for scavenger hunting around where we had pizza and got some great photos. In the end, team Veazy - Quan, Walker and Agnar won the hunt. Lucy, Sydney, Omisa were second and us, Timmy, Yuya, Emmett came last unfortunately. But everyone had fun and we took a group photo together in the end. We continue our day by heading back to our rooms, relaxed and went to a dinning place called Ed Debevics.

At the dinner place Ed Debevics, the waitresses were very unique since they tried to be rude on purpose towards customers and that is what makes the restaurant interesting. The waitress gave us a super long straw which is hard to drink, called us baby, gave us kid’s menu, took our hat, and so on. Which were fun since she was doing those rude things intentionally. The food was actually very tasty, and we had a great time for dinner. After the dinner, we went to CVS to gather whatever we needed, and the first day’s activities had ended.
