WHO LET THE DOGS OUT - DAY 2

 March 8, 2022

The group prepped for today's training session by cutting up hotdogs into small treat-sized bites. Dogs LOVE hot dogs!

Students then collected their dogs for an hour long training session with Sophia, the professional dog trainer. Because of the strong winds and frigid temperatures, we decided to do the training in the field house.

The handlers and canines are already starting to form a tight bond.

After lunch, we were treated to a demonstration from current parent, Pam Langlitz P'25. Pam is a certified equine and canine massage therapist. Some of the benefits of canine massage are: increase in blood flow to muscles, increases range of motion, promotes healing, improves joint mobility, reduces inflammation, enhances muscle tone, improves circulation, reduces stress, and releases natural pain-relieving endorphins.
