Sweet and Savory Day 4 2021-2022

 Today, the students were able to sleep in a bit and report to a meeting at 11am to discuss our Project Symposium presentation. We then departed for Salem, NH to take a pasta making class at Tuscan Kitchen followed by a 3 gelato tasting. The students had a blast!!




Paige Y.- Today we went to Tuscan Kitchen, we learned how to make gnocchi with the chef. There was a tv projecting what he was doing all the while he was right in front of us teaching us the process. It took about a half hour to create, we then soaked them in boiling water for 3 minutes and it was ready. It was served with red sauce and Parmesan cheese. It was so good, and fun to make.

Brigid E.- Today we went to the Tuscan Kitchen to learn how to make pasta and taste gelato and sorbet. We learned how to make gnocchi, and I'm looking forward to teaching my family how to make it as well. We also tasted gelato and I had a good time trying to guess what each flavor was. 

Edie S.- I had a lot of fun today making gnocchi and trying gelato at the Tuscan kitchen. Making the gnocchi was very quick and easy and im excited to try to make it at home! 

Anna W.- Today was my favorite day so far. We learned how to make Gnocchi from scratch. We went to Tucson village in Salem NH. We stopped at Starbucks on the way and got there with time to spare. We shopped a little bit and then headed to the class. After the class we tasted gelato and ate our homemade gnocchi. Then we ended the day with Chick-fil-A.  

Tomorrow, we head to King Arthur Flour in Norwich, VT!
