Local Service Project Day 2

On Day 2 of our Local Service Project, our group all met together to create "stall stories" for the bathrooms on campus. We came up with the ideas of having a positive mindset, motivation, and do's and dont's. Then, we split into 3 groups to come up with the layout of each poster. After everything was printed, each group ventured out around campus to hang up the posters in every bathroom.

Local Service Projects- Day 1

We started off the day by baking goods for New Beginnings, which is a emergency refuge and support home for women. We all sat around the table and used our phones to find out information on what New Beginnings is all about. It supports and houses women who have been exposed to sexual, domestic, and stalking violence.
We drove to Laconia where we helped clean toys, Sort donations, build a composter, and deep clean the carpets. Shown above is Maddy and Avery working hard in the home! When sorting donations some of the items that were needed were sunscreen, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies (especially kid-friendly products), and shelving. Other projects could include volunteering to help fix damages around the house and hang drywall in the basement.
