The Business of Upcycling: First Meeting!

The Business of Upcycling meeting is currently in the planning stages! Students are brainstorming fun upcycling ideas and looking at inspirational boards on Pinterest. Students are also brainstorming possible materials and methods of obtaining materials inexpensively and sustainably for projects. Ideas that we are currently discussing include things like windows, picture frames, silverware, fabrics, glass jars, CDs, sporting equipment, and shopping carts. A list of essential keywords has also been created; these words are: refurbish, recycle, profit, patience, creative thinking, problem solving, sustainability, budget, learning, and FUN!

On Friday, two of our members will briefly give a sneak preview as to our plans and ideas. We look forward to Monday and beginning our adventure. Stay tuned and follow along with us as we put recycling and sustainability to the test!
