Cupcake Wars Continued...

Today, we started the day off with talking to Sheryl, who works in the kitchen baking cookies, brownies, and delicious delights that we have the privilege of enjoying in the cafeteria. From her, we understood the hard work and effort that is imperative in baking for a large group. She also gave us tips on baking cupcakes.

The theme for today was cupcakes. We baked a variety of cupcakes, including raspberry lemon cream cheese cupcakes, carrot cupcakes, and even pizza cupcakes. Each cupcake offered a different taste and showed the variety and art of baking cupcakes.

While waiting for the cupcakes to bake in the oven, we watched DC Cupcakes, a reality television show in which two sisters have to bake cupcakes while usually trying to beat the deadline. While baking seems to be relaxing and fun, the television show depicted how crazy it was to bake for a business because deadlines are important and other factors may get in the way when trying to satisfy a customer.

Tomorrow we will be going to King Arthur's.
