First Day In San Francisco Was A Success!

We were up bright and early at 2:30AM to board the bus for Logan airport. We had a smooth ride to Boston and arrived with plenty of time to get a bite to eat and prepare to load the plane. Unfortunately, the plane was an hour late getting in from San Francisco. Due to a storm in the midwest, the head winds were also quite strong. This forced us to make a planned stop in Denver for some fuel. All in all, we arrived in SF about 3 hours later than planned. No big deal. We picked up our baggage, grabbed our rental cars, and headed to In and Out Burger. Travel woes were forgotten.

We checked into the hotel, which is beautifully set on Berkeley Marina and got unpacked. Then we headed out to Marin Headlands to see the Golden Gate Bridge from the North side. There were several vantage points and the bridge looked amazing all lit up at night. We then drove over the bridge and into SF. We worked our way though the city and this allowed us to get our bearing on where things were for future outings.

We headed back to the hotel over the Bay Bridge and settled in for some pool time and some serious burritos from La Mission in Berkeley. Then everyone crashed hard after a long day....

Today we will head into Berkeley this AM to see UC Berkeley and then we will be enjoying our first day in the recording studio starting at noon. We will start first by tracking Crash by DMB. This will feature Marcel, Jill, Innes, Matt, Conor, Monti, and Jake. Photos and stories to follow.

Tonight: Exploring North Beach and enjoying a quality Italian dinner at E'Tutto Qua.
