Whaling and Its Aftermath: Day 4

Today, all of our group members woke up at 8 a.m. and started cleaning up and packing our stuff to prepare to leave for New Hampton. Since we didn't have much time for breakfast, Mr. Shackett bought us donuts so we could eat before leaving for our ferry, which was leaving at 12:00 p.m. We had a little bit of time in Nantucket's harbor to grab some lunch before the two-hour journey on the ferry. Most of our group members went to the small deli called Stubby's (photo below). After getting some food, we came back to our van and went into the ferry. The scenery of Nantucket was beautiful from the deck––it was one of the most memorable moments of our trip. We came back to New Hampton at 6:00 p.m. and planned our meeting for Friday morning for the preparation for the symposium. Some of the photos below are from the historical walking tour we took on Wednesday afternoon.
