Animal Rescue - Day 3

Today we started off the day by skyping with Jenn about her volunteer job for Pibbles n More Animal Rescue (PMAR). During this Skype, we learned about their process for fostering dogs and eventually getting the dogs adopted. Then we talked about how everyone who works with her is a volunteer, most have full time jobs.   She provided us with information about 10 dogs they currently have in foster homes and we wrote social media posts to help them get adopted.  In the afternoon, we watched a documentary about dogs who are rescued from down south and are placed into a program for 8 weeks with prisoners. This program helps make the dogs become more comfortable around people and helps the prisoners become happier and learn skills that will help them once they are released from prison.   Following the movie we had a group discussion. We talked about how this program is a good idea, and how it is very successful. That concluded our day and we look forward to seeing what the following days have for us!!!!!
