Project Week

Days one and two of Project Week for the Animal Rescue Group consisted of pursuing volunteer work at the Sweet Paws Animal Shelter in Groveland, Mass. Group members learned about the great deal of rigor involved with running an animal shelter; day one focused on the centrality of maintaining cleanliness, coordinating volunteer tasks, and ensuring the happiness of the dogs to run a successful shelter. Day two brought about the transfer of some of Sweet Paws's puppies to foster care, as well as a lesson about some of the financial components involved in running a shelter. Our group was impressed by the diligence showcased by each of Sweet Paws' volunteers and we were happy to help out and advocate for a great cause!
