Will writes (pictured above after decorating his pizza): We started off our day with researching how different foods effect our health, the economy, and
the environment. Then we watched a movie called Cowspiracy. It was about how
agriculture and cattle farming play much bigger roles in global warming than previously thought.
After the movie, we loaded up the bus dead to our school's old food services directors house. He
showed us around his house and we got to see his pizza oven which was really interesting. We
got to make our own pizzas using the oven and they were delicious. When we were sitting
around with Neal, he shared some of his past experiences in the food industry and how it has
changed over the years. Neal has been a devout vegan so he was able to share some knowledge
about that. We had a great day with Neal and his family and can’t wait to go check out a farm
tomorrow.
