Lifeguarding: Day 1

Today the group was introduced to the world of lifeguarding. We started of the day, with a warmup activity that involved teamwork.

After the warm-up activity, we spent time discussing the general practices and legal considerations of the job.

After learning some legal logistics and general practices, off to the pool! At the pool we started the pre-tests; a distance swim, brick carry and hands-free treading water. 

We then worked on water entries, approach swims, passive and active surface saves. The group was tired but learned a lot!!
