Creating a Healthier Pizza with Whole Grains at KAF
On Thursday March 12, Healthy Inside and Out woke up bright and early to take a three-hour cooking class at King Arthur in Norwich, Vermont. The students learned the difference between flours (such as white versus whole wheat) and how you can change the taste by alternating the flour type. Each student made two different does from scratch and added the toppings they pleased. After they finished making the pizza, all the students got to eat their pizzas along with a salad for lunch! We then stopped at the Co-Op on the way back home from our class!
