Today the Healthy Living Squad looked closely into not only the ingredients of our skincare products, and their effects, but also the social and community quality of the businesses that we support. To start the day off, we researched the health and beauty products we use every day, from shampoo, to deodorant, to lotion. We discussed the ingredients in our product, and how the lack of FDA regulation may impact the quality of these ingredients.
Next, the squad ventured out of the classroom to enjoy the fortunate weather and take a walk of the area. Healthy living is not just what we put into and on our body, but also how we treat it. We walked past the school to a lovely farm and enjoyed the warm weather and fresh air.
Following that, we briefly researched the Badger Balm company, and B Corp companies in general, before setting off to learn about Badger Balm first hand on their company tour in Southern New Hampshire. The tour discussed the company's desire to not only have a positive impact on their purchasers with good products to benefit their life, but also their desire to positively influence their employees and community in general. Lastly, the Healthy Living Squad stocked up on a Badger products at the end of the tour.
