Mindful Eating: Healthy Inside and Out, Day 3

We started the day at 9:00 on a bus to Brookford Farm. At the farm, we met our tour guide, Jodie,
who showed us around the farm. We got the inside scoop on how they make cheese. There
were many chickens in the coop and they had a very distinct smell. Then we were shown the
cows and calves, and how they are fed and milked. We also learned that cows can cry. Next up
was the pigs and there were newborns running around the pen. The group tried to help out in
the fields, but they had done a lot of work in the morning, so they did not need our help. After
that our tour guide was kind enough to bring us homemade yogurt and cheese. When we
arrived back at campus we grabbed lunch and started research on healthy eating styles. Then
we did some relaxing yoga with Ms. Aronson to finish the day.
