Day 2 began with a bus trip to Tuscan Kitchen in Salem, NH. Students were able to learn how to prepare a proper Italian Ragu Sauce made from 100% Italian Ingredients!!
Students were walked through the steps of three ingredient pasta: Semolina, 00% Flour, and Water.
Students then rolled out the pasta into strands and cut it. The pasta made was called, Orecchiette Pasta, which literally means "little ear", which is simply shaped using your thumb!
Above is housemade Orecchiette pasta that was served with the demo ragu sauce for lunch with a simple green salad. Below are papaya and chocolate gelato we were able to sample. Everything was DELICIOUS!!
