Alternative Photography Day 1: Perspective: Turf: Bristol

 Photography Day 1

By Ryan Carey

When we first got to project week, on the first day we did a recap of what we would be doing for the week. We learned about how to take pictures and rules to follow while we were taking pictures. Then, we did an activity on the turf, where we used forced perspective to make people look smaller than

they actually are by standing far away from the camera. After that activity we came in and learned about photoshop. After lunch, we went to downtown Bristol and took pictures along the road, downtown and the river.

Today I learned about the 9 compositions of photography. Also, I learned how to incorporate them while taking pictures. I learned more editing techniques while using Adobe Bridge. We also learned as a group how to use digital technology. Also, we learned how to get pictures from our camera to the computer in a very fast time.

I liked getting off campus and taking pictures while it was very good nice out. I really liked how we could walk around Bristol and just take pictures and not have to do a lot of work for it. When we were able to walk along the river and get a very good view. Also, I liked when we were able to walk around on our own and get very different perspective on many different objects.
