"Guillermo Del Toro went above my expectations by a lot! The movie wasn’t horrible, but instead, it was just terrible. The only thing I liked was the picture, but as to everything else, we get: boring plot, a lot of montage mistakes, cliches, worthless acting and no showing of Spanish culture at all. The movie is bad, just like its director, who has made nothing good except for Fauno’s Labyrinth in 2006. Miserable director and miserable movie bring a solid 2/10," - Alex

“The Devils Backbone is a spectacular film from 2001. From the slow pans from the ground up, to the eerie soundtrack, the film does a wonderful job portraying suspense through cinematics and sound.” -Sam
