It was an action-packed day as all of the students created and completed their Common Application. It's fun to think they are that much closer to being all done! We also took a little break and visited the dog trainers from Project Week as the weather has been so lovely. The afternoon was spent finishing parts of the Common App and learning more about colleges with Co-Op programs as well as Canadian universities. Below are some reflections from the day....
- Today I learned that Northeastern has a large co-op program. I learned that co-op programs are similar to paid internships but that you earn college credit at the same time as resume building and gaining work experience. I also learned that Villanova hosts the largest Special Olympic event in the country. - Alex Boriss
- It was great to get started in the common application. It was also nice to be able to ask questions while doing the application. I learned about some schools in Canada because I was not considering much about schools in Canada. I learned that some schools offer a co-op ( an internship opportunity in school) including Northeastern University. It was also nice to start thinking about classes I might take in my senior year. - Jaewon Oh
- I learned co-op programs are paid internships and I learned that schools such as Northeastern have them. I also learned that schools in Canada are more interested in your goals in your career and future than schools in America. - Harry Meehan
