It's Project Week!
Today the 30 for 30 Project spent its time watching some 30 for 30s. We spent the morning watching “The U” which is about the University of Miami football team during 1983-1991. We saw a new brand of U Miami football filled with swagger and big personality’s on the team.
After that, we watched a 30 for 30 short which was directed by a New Hampton alum!
After lunch, we watched “I hate Christian Laettner.” This story is about one of the best collage basketball players ever, but he also is one of the most hated. Due to his predicted privilege, talent, bullying of teammates and opponents, and good genetics he is one of the most hated collage basketball players. Through out the documentary we learned that Christian was an ultimate competitor and would do near anything to win. We found out he wanted to get the best out of his teammates even if it meant him pushing them around.
Lastly we watched Lakers vs Celtics and we saw two rising teams with stars like Larry Bird and a Magic Johnson face off against earth other. We hope to use what we learned today and apply it to out own 30 for 30 trailer later in the week.
