Building Your Lifestyle Brand - Day 4

Today, after the morning ritual of waking up and grabbing Starbucks we headed out to take some more pictures of our brands around Cambridge. We chose Cambridge because of the many different colorfully painted walls and alleys located in that area, as well as its proximity to our next stop which was DJ lessons!

For this workshop we had three amazing teachers who all gave us their perspective and insight into which part of the music industry they specialize in (recording, mixing, or business). Lastly, we were off to new Hampton after a long, fun and educational trip, but little did we know there would be one last lesson before the trip was over. That lesson was patience as we had to wait for our connecting bus back to the New Hampton campus.

Building Your Lifestyle Brand - Day 5

On Friday 3/11/22 we worked on our Canva pages so that we were able to present them on Saturday. The Canva is a template for our style guides which is a presentation that show people what the brand looks like on paper. We sat in our groups, and discussed the things that should be put up on our Canva. This was an important time for the groups because it was the final aspect of the project, and to finish it would mean that we would finish our brands. After break all the groups will come back and share our style guides at the symposium.

Building Your Lifestyle Brand - Day 3

Today we woke up and all got our bellies full of Starbucks before heading to Champion on Newbury Street to have our brands' apparel branded. Next, we had some time to walk around and explore Boston and its many winter jacket shops. At lunch we congregated at Dirty Water Dough Co. for some pizza and then we were off to our next lesson, this time about music! After meeting with Kerry Quirk-- a DJ, blogger, and event organizer-- and hearing about her model of branding which was very fascinating we were off to Fire+Ice for dinner and celebration.

That's all for Day 3!

Building Your Lifestyle Brand - Day 2

We started off the morning by creating our social media accounts for each brand and making our first posts. After that we talked to an influencer and videographer named Darren Cole. He talked to us about the use of different camera angles and how important genuine connections are. He is known for his camera work and production skills. After that we hopped on a bus towards Boston where we ended up in the Boston Commons. Here we took a few pictures and went on our way to the hotel. We ended the night by watching the new Spider Man movie.

Building Your Lifestyle Brand - Day 1

The groups worked on their customer base, for who we would generally sell our brands to. During the day, we focused on creating our brands as a whole. This included creating a name, logo, and slogan. Here are the initial logo designs.

The last assignment we had was to create a social media account to promote our brands. Some of us made an Instagram while others made a TikTok account. We are all excited for our trip to Boston, the DJ lessons, and getting our logos on a sweatshirt.
