The Essential Question for the Art and Science of Baking is:
What ingredients and techniques result in the best baked goods?
With a group of 15 students and six faculty members, we are excited to explore this year's project: The Art and Science of Baking. Three days will be devoted to hands-on baking, recipe research, and learning about various techniques and ingredients. Students will also visit King Arthur Flour Baking Education Center for a four-hour class in a pre-selected topic. A visit to an area bakery, kitchen store, and bookstore are also on the schedule. Our group will also share some lunches, a breakfast, and a dinner off campus at a variety of area restaurants.
