Lacrosse the Nations - Day 1

During our first day in Nicaragua, the group spent the first half of the day traveling. We took a flight down to Houston and then to Nicaragua from there. We met up with one of the coordinators for Lacrosse the Nations named Norman who helped us settle into our cabins and showed us around. After tying new foods for lunch, we headed over to one of the elementary schools for a tour.  The kids there were excited to see us and the feeling were mutual for us as well.  While we were at the elementary school Norman told us a little bit about the school and how the community can together to fix it up.  While he was telling us about the history of the school he also went into detail about where they would play lacrosse.  After visiting the school we finished up the day with a tour around the town and city of where we are staying. To end off the day we had an amazing meal together and discussed outer highs and lows for the day. Tomorrow is going to be the mark of the first practice with the kids here and everyone is excited to get started.
