PROJECT FLIGHT: DAY 5
Today we traveled to the NH State Police Aircraft Unit to learn about how Troopers use aircraft in Law Enforcement. We learned how the Troopers check vehicle speeds from the air using a timer and a known distance. We also learned about the FLIR (forward looking infrared) camera and how police use it to help find people.
We also took a trip the the National Flight Simulator and put our flying skills to the test. We were able to try out aircraft and helicopter simulators.
