Kurn Hattin 2020
Day 4 of Kurn Hattin was filled with more fun in the classroom and on stage! We started off with a 7am breakfast and then we’re on to classes throughout the morning. Our group could choose any class from elementary school to middle school with options ranging from math, science, art, music, gym etc. Once the morning passed by it was time for lunch which was an option of ribs or turkey. After lunch we worked on the musical, Summer Camp, with the students for the last time. We unfortunately had to cut our week a day short, so we had to record the performance with them a day early. After the play concluded, we had to go pack up our cottage to depart, and then say goodbye to all of the Kurn Hattin students :(
Overall, it was an amazing week being able to work with all of the Kurn Hattin community. From the students, to the teachers and house parents, we learned a lot of what their community was like through a fun filled week! It was an amazing experience learning of how communities differ from ours here at New Hampton and what we should be grateful for.
