Kids helping kids

Today, the Kids Helping Kids crew set out at 8 a.m. to Portland Maine. Our first stop was the Preble Street Soup Kitchen. Here, we served up to four hundred people a hot lunch. The age group varied from young children to senior citizens. As a group we helped prepare, serve, and clean up with a few other volunteers. After helping at Preble street for a few hours, we were back on the road. The group was able to have a bit of fun, and head to Freeport Maine. There, we were able to meet the President of Good Will-Hinckley School, Dr. Chris Cummings. After a short meet and greet, there was some free time to spend in Freeport. Then, the detour came to an end and we were able to head north to the school, Good Will-Hinckley. Upon arriving at the school we had a debriefing about the day and settled into our new home for the week.
