Freeze Frame: Using The Camera Expressively

This morning we met in the photo classroom and learned camera basics. We devoted a lot of time learning how to create a strong and purposeful exposure according to the guidelines of the 'exposure triangle'. We learned to adjust the ISO depending on available light, the aperture for selective focus or greater depth of field, and the shutter speed for expressive control of motion. We also learned about white balance, image quality, and focal lengths. For half of us this was a comprehensive review, for the other half it was all new information!

Our resident math teacher figures out the ratio of f-stops.
