Shingle Dipping

In the afternoon, on Day 1, the NHS Greenhouse project did more work then they expected. The afternoon was spent staining the wood we had moved earlier in the day. We managed to finish all the wood that was inside and move wood in that we will be staining later. Although staining wood doesn't sound fun to most people, the shingle dipping group seemed to make it the most enjoyable experience they could. They painted faces on the shingles and stacked them in a way that formed a society of shingles with a shingle hierarchy. We ended the day by setting a time of departure for our much anticipated trip tomorrow to visit two greenhouse facilities - Longwind Farm in East, Thetford, VT and The Dartmouth Organic Farm.
