Debating the World - Model UN in Edinburgh, Scotland

Our debaters are officially excited! The flight to Scotland is in four days and counting, and the group traveling to Model United Nations at George Watson's College has been working hard writing position papers and preparing for committee meetings. The students are excited to be representing Greece this year!

The essential question that our group will be answering this week is: To what extent does culture effect perspective on global issues?

Through research, careful preparation, and debates with other students from around the world, the Model UN participants from NHS will become more active in their global citizenship and apply knowledge to gain a better understanding of today's issues from around the world.

In the days leading up to the MUN Conference, students will be touring some of Edinburgh's best-known and beautiful landmarks.

Palace of Holyroodhouse Edinburgh

Our more adventurous students will be tasting haggis and practicing the bagpipes. The forecast calls for rain, but that won't dampen our spirits. Luckily, these Huskies look great in plaid!
